Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has foiled attempt by some compromised police officers who shot at him with the intention to kill while he visited to assess the extent of damages done as aftermath of bombing of the State House of Assembly complex by some hoodlums. Breaking News: A fearless Bar Emperor Ogbonna decried the humiliation military men subjected the commuters along the Southeastern Nigerian roads and call on the federal government to look into the situation.

Over the last few months after the presidential election which saw Ahmed Tinubu emerging as the nation's president, military men have moved in to Southeastern Nigeria and blocked many roads near their check points. Commuters have been made to trekk to the last military check point before embarking on the bus while their driver driving their bus empty until it gets to where they are waiting for it.
